Board of Directors – First Meeting
Quantified Biology board of directors held its first meeting on the beginning of May on the blossoming Roosevelt Island in NYC. With Fernando from Cornell-Tech on the business side, Michael from Stanford on the scientific side and Shahar, Quantified Biology CEO and founder, holding the wheel, the board had fascinating discussions on computer vision in the pharma world. Having different approaches for analysis of biological images, ranging from traditional signal detection algorithms to cutting-edge machine learning algorithms, the board mapped which approach is ideal for what research purpose, how one can potentially merge these different approaches into one framework, and what would be the right patent strategy for these goals.
